Social Justice

We are aware that the interventions we offer are needed in schools and by individuals that sometimes cannot afford these services. We have therefore committed a portion of our time at SHIFT groups to provide interventions to those in need free of charge. However, the need is great and we would like to do more. This is a platform for you to get involved. Advantaged schools, businesses and individuals are invited to sponsor an intervention or part thereof. See other web pages for information on the various services we offer.

Most Recent Project – Ikhaya le Themba

Ikhaya le Themba is non-profit organisation that runs an aftercare programme in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay, Cape Town for children at risk. SHIFT groups provided an intervention for the bullying issue that was developing amongst their children.

Previous project

SHIFT groups ran a workshop with a group of grade 10 and 11 learners at a previously disadvantaged high school. The workshop aimed at challenging addictive thinking and behaviour. The group engaged well in discussion and the young people gained some insight into their lifestyles.
